Please join the Development Committee for an in-person community meeting with the BPDA's Plan Charlestown Team and share your comments on the current version of the hybrid Plan:Charlestown scenario. The BPDA has not returned to in-person community meetings - so this may be one of your only chances to be in the room with your neighbors to discuss the future of Charlestown.
The hybrid scenarios propose new development guidelines and zoning ( use, height, & density, etc.) for the "industrial edge" areas of Charlestown. This edge encircles the town in an C shape that runs from 425 Medford St. and the Flatley properties along the Mystic River over into Sullivan Square, the along Rutherford from Sullivan Square through Hood Park, Bunker Hill Communuty College and the Austin St. Lots (aka Bunker Hill Community College Lots), and then curling up Austin St. and West School St through the Bunker Hill Mall to Main St. The scenario proposals represent very significant increases to the development parameters allowed under current zoning.
The Mayor is pushing for a July conclusion to the Plan. So speak up now.
